So Gwen and I stopped by the Marlboro train show last Sunday. Pretty good as usual - lots of modular layouts. The usual vendors - tons of modern diesels, auto racks and high cube boxcars... not so much for a 1950's guy like me. One, ONE guy had paint - and only because he ran back and got some after the Saturday session. He had discontinued Polly Scale paint so I picked some up. That's the new theme of shows - grab the last products of all the companies that have gone out of business in the last few years because you'll never see that stuff again. Eventually there will just be one giant Atlas/Athearn/Walthers company selling $700 steam locomotives with mandatory DCC, sound and whatever new overpriced feature they come up with...
